A Fire That Settles In 🔥
Pinikay Heat Logs have a familiar practicality to them. Twelve dense wood briquettes are held together in a compact 10kg bale with just two narrow straps, making them simple to carry, stack and keep ready by the fire. For anyone used to buying traditional briquettes by the bale, the format will feel immediately recognisable.
Once the fire is established, Pinikay helps it settle in. The dense heat logs burn more slowly and steadily, keeping the fire going longer as the evening moves on.
Made from compressed Oak and Beech sawdust, with no glue or binders added, Pinikay is available from a single bale through to bulk quantities of 24, 48 and 96 bales. A full pallet gives you around 960kg, so you can buy for the fire in front of you or keep a larger supply ready for the fires ahead.

Performance → Pinikay Heat Logs settle into a slower, steadier burn once the fire is established and develop a strong glowing phase as they burn. Their dense form stays relatively stable in the fire and does not materially expand during use. Pinikay Heat Logs have approximately 5.8% moisture, 0.7% ash and a gross calorific value of 19.267 MJ/kg.
Use → Add Pinikay Heat Logs gradually to an established fire, normally using them whole rather than breaking them. Start with a small amount and add more only as the fire needs it, rather than overloading the firebox. Allow good airflow around the heat logs and adjust airflow in line with your appliance manufacturer’s instructions.
Bale Size → Each bale weighs 10kg and contains 12 heat logs, each approximately 19 to 20cm long and 6.4cm wide and thick. The bale measures approximately 40 × 20 × 13cm and is held together with two narrow straps. A full pallet contains 96 bales, around 960kg.
Storage → Keep Pinikay Heat Logs dry and protected from rain and damp. Store the bales indoors or in a dry shed or garage until needed. The two straps hold the bale together but do not protect the briquettes from moisture. For pallet orders, the outer stretch wrap protects the load during transport but is not suitable for long term outdoor storage.
Pinikay Heat Logs are made from Oak, Beech and other hardwood sawdust recovered during sawmill processing. This makes use of wood material already produced as part of the sawmilling process, compressing it into dense heat logs with no glue or binders added.
Pinikay Heat Logs are Woodsure Ready to Burn certified under Company ID WS5550.
For wood briquettes, Ready to Burn goes beyond moisture alone. Certification includes checks on the wood material and composition, product testing and ongoing monitoring against the requirements for certified briquettes.
