ECOFUEL™ EcoBriquettes

Performance → EcoBriquettes™ get going quickly once lit, giving a strong flame and heat before settling into hot embers that continue giving off heat. They expand as they burn and respond clearly to changes in airflow. EcoBriquettes™ have approximately 6% moisture, 0.4% ash and a gross calorific value of 18.044 MJ/kg.

Use → Break one EcoBriquette in half before use and give the two pieces room to expand. Start with a small amount and add more only as the fire needs it, rather than overloading the fire. EcoBriquettes™ can be started from cold with a suitable firelighter such as Waxies natural firelighters, or added to an established fire. Adjust airflow in line with your appliance manufacturer’s instructions. In open fires, keep the expanding briquettes well back from the front of the fireplace and use a suitable fireguard.

Box Size → Each box weighs around 12kg and contains 6 briquettes, around 2kg each. The briquettes are cylindrical with a central hole and measure approximately 26cm long × 9.5cm diameter. A full pallet contains 80 boxes, around 960kg.

Storage → Keep EcoBriquettes™ dry and protected from rain and damp. The cardboard box keeps the briquettes contained for storage indoors or in a dry shed or garage. For pallet orders, the outer stretch wrap protects the load during transport but is not suitable for long-term outdoor storage.
