EcoBriquettes vs Pinikay Heat Logs: Which Should You Choose?

Every Fire Has a Character.

Not every fire is the same.

Some need quick heat and a strong blaze, others are about lasting comfort that carries through the evening. At ECOFUEL™, we craft two types of briquettes, EcoBriquettes and Pinikay Heat Logs, so you can choose the fire that suits your lifestyle.

Both come from sawmill by-products. No chemicals, no shortcuts. Just better fires, less waste, and a choice of how you want to burn.

What are EcoBriquettes?

EcoBriquettes are our larger-format briquettes, pressed into dense cylinders. A single log is so big that most customers split it in half before use. Once lit, EcoBriquettes deliver fast, high heat and burn out more quickly than Pinikay, making them ideal for sharp, intense warmth or for topping up a fire.

  • Large log (26.9 × 9.6 cm)

  • Expands while burning

  • Burns faster and hotter

  • Best €/kg value

  • FSC® Mix certified, Ready to Burn, EPA registered

What are Pinikay Heat Logs?

Pinikay Heat Logs are smaller, octagonal briquettes with a central hole. Packed as 12 logs per 10kg bale, they’re highly compressed and don’t expand, and what you load is exactly what burns. Their density gives them a slower, steadier burn with more consistent heat over time.

  • Smaller log (19.2 × 6.5 × 4.1 cm)

  • Stays stable, doesn’t expand

  • Burns longer and steadier

  • Ready to Burn, EPA registered

Which one is right for me?

It depends on how you burn:

  • Choose EcoBriquettes if you want quick heat at a great value, or if you like a fire that builds up strongly.

  • Choose Pinikay Heat Logs if you prefer a slower, steadier burn with consistent heat and tidy handling.

Many customers keep both: EcoBriquettes for fast, hot fires and Pinikay for slow, evening warmth, so it’s no surprise that our Briquettes Bundle is popular among our briquette lovers.

One Mission, Two Fuels

Both EcoBriquettes and Pinikay Heat Logs turn sawmill by-products into clean energy. Less smoke, less ash, less waste and every purchase supports reforestation projects through our 1% for the Planet partnership. However you choose to burn, you’re choosing a better fire for your home and a better future for the forests.
